Westcotes Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update 

This week your local neighbourhood officers have continued proactive patrols and community engagement across the Westcotes area.

Officers attended Iceland and Lidl on Upperton Road to speak with residents, businesses and shoppers regarding local concerns and crime prevention advice.

A bike register event was also held at Bede Park, helping members of the public protect their bicycles and promote cycle security awareness.

As part of ongoing proactive policing activity, officers detained a male for PWITs (Possession With Intent To Supply) offences.

Neighbourhood officers attended an address involving a vulnerable person, where safeguarding measures were put into place alongside partner agencies to ensure the appropriate support was provided.

Following concerns raised by the public regarding anti-social behaviour and road safety, officers have continued enforcement around the illegal use of e-scooters, with several more seized this week whilst officers were on patrol.

The team also supported the wider policing response in relation to World Cup football activity within Leicester city centre.
